Flower Girl Dresses

Flower girl dresses. Oh the fun, frustration, precious pictures and memories. Whether you have an infant or toddler, flower girls add a special touch to your bridal party. They can be unpredictable, shy or the life of the party. This is probably going to be one day in their life they will tell everyone about for years.

There are many options when it comes to selecting a flower girl dress. If you want her to look like the bride, choose the bride’s gown color to start with. Some manufactures have actual look a likes if you want. If your gown is strapless, it would be wise to opt for one with some sort of strap. She could be running with the boys or crawling under a table hiding from them.

Flower girls can also match your bridal attendants in color and style. Manufactures have these readily available. She will look like a big girl standing along side of your attendants.

If you want to combine the two, select a style in the bride’s color. Then add a sash, bow, ruffle or ribbon that matches the attendants color. Look for details in the dress. Does it have an empire or waist line? This is a great place to add in color.

If the style is princess from top to bottom, there will be no waistline. No problem. You can add color with straps. They can be one to two inches wide. This will depend on her size. Spaghetti straps also add fun. Instead of just one, add three. One can be the color of the bride’s gown and the other two match the attendant’s gowns. Big airy bows streaming down the back of the dress or in their hair is another option for adding color.
