Mothers Dresses With Style

When shopping for Mothers Dresses, let your focal points choose the style. What is a focal point? It

  • draws attention to a specific place
  • is the limelight of an outfit
  • is something your eye zooms in on
  • highlights or underlines an outfit or the body

It can be color, an accessory, or a fabric shape.

Focal points accent your assets. They pull the eye away from any figure challenge. Every woman has her story. If you do not believe this, ask any women if she could change one thing about her body, what it would be. She will likely tell you several.

On the other side of this coin, your assets are your focal points. Women may be too shy to reveal them, but they are there. You are as unique as a snowflake. You are like no other. Each woman has focal points.

For instance, if you have a shapely bust line, this may be your focal point or a challenge. If you want to hide that fact, choose a mother’s dress with a high neckline. Choose fabric that has fewer accents. Plain verses print. Piping, edge stitching or contrast fabric instead of a full beaded bodice of lace.

A full chiffon skirt adds fullness at the bottom. Soft and flowing to balance out mothers dresses with this figure. If you are small, do the opposite. Portrait collars, short flutter sleeves or lace can give you the illusion of a fuller bust line. Try different styles of mother’s dresses to find the right look for you. Look in your closet. What are your past favorite styles? Which styles do you wear more often? Incorporate these design details in to your evening gowns or formal wear. There is a reason for choosing one style over another.

  • You feel confident in certain clothing
  • You receive compliments more often
  • You are comfortable

If you pay attention when someone gives you a compliment, this is a tell tale sign it is a style that flatters your figure. You may have seen a mother of a bride that missed the mark. Comfort was selected first. If you are a comfort driven person, you may be wearing a poor style that allows you freedom to move yet drags down your appearance.

Comfort and style can go together. Clothing should be selected to flatter your shape. Fashion is secondary. Your body shape should be your first thought. With this in mind, have fun selecting mother’s dresses with flair that accent your focal points.
